I Drove RGIII's A8

As some of you may know, I work for an Audi dealership in Rockville, MD. RGIII is one of our clients and he will be starting a new lease deal on a 2014 A8 TDI. I picked the car up in Annapolis and drove it back to Rockville. Not gonna lie, it was a pretty sweet trip.

I kept it in "Dynamic" mode, so pick up was AMAZING. It really is a torque monster. I sacrificed a bit of comfort as a result though. Ride noise is expectedly low, but then again, it was hard to hear much over Zeppelin's Mothership. I averaged 32 mpg over the whole trip. Pretty impressive if you ask me. I've driven plenty of A8s and they never cease to impress me with how much feel is translated to the driver.

Bobby got a diesel Audi? Not sure if I should be surprised by that or happy about it. Either way, pretty neat you can say you drove it! I can't imagine the drive from Annapolis to Rockville is too pleasant though.

It actually wasn't that bad. Traffic going east was awful though.

"Comfort" mode is just eerily numb to me. Dynamic should really be the default. It's not the most direct/connected feeling driving experience out there, but it's pretty good for a modern car.

No, this one had the BOSE. I love the B&O systems though. The way that the tweeters rise out of the dash is mesmerizing.
